When I became a mother and encountered challenges with my first-born son, I looked for help and professional guidance from consultants and coaches.  I discovered that most were completely unqualified, with no background in fields like early childhood development, education or psychology.  Their work wasn’t supervised or followed any educational or ethical standards.

I found that the problem with following the advice of an unqualified teacher is that if you implement the wrong solution, it can escalate the behavior and have the opposite of its intended effect. And, you can lose important time in your child’s development.

When I learned that Behavior Analysts are the true experts in this field, drawing on generations of scientific research rather than just personal experience, I immediately enrolled in the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Tel Aviv University in Israel. It was the perfect complement to my bachelor’s degree in education and allowed me to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

My education made a tremendous difference, not only with my child but so many others I’ve worked with over the years. That’s why I’m passionate about helping parents using science, not theory.
